The post I had planned for today will have to wait, because I have to share this with you. The meticulously constructed three-foot wooden sculpture pictured below was hanging above our bed when Mr. B and I got home last night. Conceived and created by my 17-year old, it is one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone has ever given me.
An excerpt from the accompanying note explains, “Happy Birthday, Mom… You are loved and appreciated so this is a little reminder of how much we love you. This is the audio wave of all of us (your daughters) saying “I love you,” so if you ever forget, you can see us saying it to you.”
I am Speechless.
Wow! What a wonderful and unique gift!
This is so cool! Love the idea!
Oh my gosh, that is such a unique and memorable treasure. Good for you to be so loved and for raising such thoughtful and creative daughters.
Oh. My. Word. I have tears in my eyes, Renee! This is THE sweetest, most awesome, most thoughtful and creative gift I have ever seen! Just BEAUTIFUL!!
What wonderful girls to give such a thoughtful gift!
Wow, what an original idea! I could see this idea working in a lot of different styles of home too, and kudos to your seventeen year old!
Wow! What an artist! That is gorgeous without even knowing what it represents, but the story behind it really knocks it out of the park. I think your daughter might need a blog of her own 😉
I am blessed with very intelligent, talented daughters who all have minds of their own. The oldest sister already has a very successful blog of her own: maybe you saw that water blob post that went viral a few weeks ago? That’s her. (And the adorable kiddos in her pictures are my granddaughters!)
What a wonderful thing. I would love to have something like that. I just noticed I call my hubby Mr. B. also.
